We are now home after a spectacular 9 days at the Bulgari Resort in Bali and the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. I am slowly working on reviews of both locations. Here is a quick review and some pictures:
The Bulgari was breathtaking at every turn and I’ve never had a more positive experience at any hotel location, ever … ever ever ever. I’m afraid the Bulgari has ruined me for life. We had a private villa with a plunge pool that exceeded my wildest expectations. In fact, the whole place and the whole staff exceeded my wildest expectations. I’ve never been anywhere so beautiful, lush, and serene. It was memorable and perfect, which is how a honeymoon should be. We spent one day touring Bali with just a tour guide and driver, and spent the remaining 6 days at the resort. It was awesome.
The Marina Bay Sands is a landmark in Singapore, which is why we stayed there vs elsewhere. The MBS was very disappointing after 7 days at the Bulgari, but we made the best of it and still had a great time. We had a suite at the MBS, which gave us the absolute best view in all of Singapore and access to the club lounge. We ordered room service every night, enjoyed drinks on the club lounge, went to our favorite lunch spot (with the 2nd best view in all of Singapore), spent time at the MBS infinity pool, and even caught an art and science exhibit featuring the work of Leonardo da Vinci. It was a very nice few days in Singapore and I’m so glad we went there one last time before we move back to the USA.
We flew Singapore Air the whole way (4 flights in total). I used to be a big fan of Singapore Air, but I’m not so much now. I wasn’t impressed with the cleanliness of three of the four airplanes we were in, the food was bad, and the staff on the last flight were pretty terrible. I may not fly with them again.
I’m a crazy person and woke up to watch the sun rise at the MBS infinity pool. Since my husband is not a crazy person like me, he wasn’t there to take a picture with me. So here is my lone picture of myself at the infinity pool.
The view from our suite at the MBS. We ordered room service and enjoyed the view every night. It was so awesome! The room had floor to ceiling windows, so we had a seriously spectacular view at any time of day.
