Wishing everyone a happy, fulfilling, and joyous day, no matter your religious affiliation (or lack thereof).
We have had a wonderful stay in San Diego! We have moved around a bit and have stayed in Point Loma, Coronado, and now in North County at my husband’s parents’ house. We’ve enjoyed sooooo much good food, we’ve caught some amazing views, we’ve re-bonded with our sweet dog, and we’ve spent tons of quality time with family and friends. We even caught a Bowl Game! I feel very lucky that we were able to make this trip happen (thanks, Navy, for sending my husband to a conference here!).
It’s so fulfilling to visit the USA while we live abroad. I cannot say enough about how nice it is to be able to read and speak the same language as everyone else. Plus, we are on the downslope of our time in Japan and we are ready to move on to the next thing 🙂 We are sooo thankful for the opportunity to live overseas, but we are looking forward to living in the States again!
I conquered the GRE and scored higher then the score I needed to apply to grad school, even though I only studied for 2 weeks. I should write a post about how I studied … maybe it will help someone else? It was a difficult test as far as brain teasers went. The one thing that helped me more then anything else was writing this blog! I killed the essay section. Writing here trains me to overcome writers block, coherently organize my thoughts, and to write from prompts (on my blog, my prompts are my ideas). If you’re an avid blogger too, you’ll do really well on the essay section. I purchased a bunch of GRE study aides, but after using the for a few days I realized that they were all shit and I studied on my own. Yup, I’ll have to blog about that.
It’s Christmas morning here and my parents are arriving shortly, so I must dash off now.
Love to you all, and I’m wishing you all happiness, health, and wealth in 2015!!
