USA vacation update #4: the NYC Edition.

Hello all! I’m very sorry to say that my time at home is quickly drawing to a close 😦 However, my husband is at a port call for a few days and we are able to Facetime, and that makes everything better 🙂 I need to get ready for dinner with a friend, but I wanted to share a few pictures from my day trip to NYC. If you have an opportunity to visit NYC, be sure to visit the Battery Park Gardens of Remembrance. There are several war memorials and monuments there that are quite moving and beautiful. It is a lot of fun to play tourist in my own country, especially with my world view as someone who lives abroad. We Americans are so lucky to live in this amazing country – it is not perfect, but it is an incredible place full of diverse and incredible people.

Have a great day, friends!

  1. NY is on the top of my list of places I want to visit in the US 🙂 I’m hoping that once we move to WI I will have the chance to go someday since it will be a lot closer than CA lol

    1. Let me know if you want any tourist suggestions 🙂 It’s a wonderful time, as long as you can deal with masses of humanity and you’re willing to have a few laughs when you get on the wrong subway train or when you get off at the wrong stop. I accidentally got off the subway 3 stops early, and then decided to walk the 13 blocks to my destination – it was worth it in the end because I found myself in Times Square!
